Which locations offer positions I can apply for?
You can apply for positions at our production sites in Saarlouis-Fraulautern and Saarwellingen or at our headquarters in Bergisch Gladbach. The location where you will be working is included in each job listing.
As an employee, will I be given Ludwig Schokolade products?
Our employees have lots of opportunities to enjoy our latest creations. You will also receive an employee discount in our factory shop. Employees at our Saarlouis and Saarwellingen locations are gifted a delicious package of chocolates at Christmas and Easter.
How can I apply, and what sort of documents do I need to submit with my application?
We ask that you only apply online by clicking on the listing for the position you’re interested in, or by using our online option to submit an unsolicited application. Please submit your resumé, a cover letter, and any certificates or employment references you may have. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications submitted by postal mail.
Can I submit an unsolicited application?
You are absolutely welcome to submit an unsolicited application at any time here. Once we’ve received your application, we will review your profile to see if you’re a good fit for any positions we may have available.
Is there a deadline for applying?
No. As long as the vacancy is still visible on our Careers page, you are welcome to apply. We will remove any vacancies from our website as soon as they have been filled. You are also welcome to contact us regarding the status of an application you’ve already submitted.
How should I apply if I’m interested in multiple positions?
In this case, please send us an unsolicited application, including a cover letter in which you mention the positions you’re interested in.
How should I prepare for my interview?
We want to get to know you, and we hope you’ll get a good idea of what Ludwig Schokolade is like. We are primarily interested in your employment history and why you’d like to work with us.
Does Ludwig Schokolade offer internships or summer jobs?
Generally speaking, we do, yes! We always review applicants on a case-by-case basis to see where they’d be the best fit. If you’re interested, please submit an unsolicited application.
How do I apply for a traineeship?
We generally start looking for trainees six to nine months before the traineeship begins, so please make sure to get your application in on time. If you make it onto our short list, you may be invited for an online test and/or a personal interview.
Will I have to work shifts/on weekends?
Our production teams generally work in three shifts, and also on weekends as needed.
